A Pennington Biomedical research center professor has won a prestigious award on obesity studies. Dr. Eric Ravussin was awarded the George A. Bray Founders Award by the Obesity Society. The award recognizes significant contributions to the scientific or clinical basis for understanding or treating obesity. Dr. Ravussin's research concentrated on the genetic connection between the physiology and gene expression in response to diet and exercise. Dr. Ravussin received his Ph.D. in human physiology at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland.
