The secret to a successful social media page is to create engaging content that people want to share, according to Jaci Russo, who joined "Nathan & Bernie in the Morning" for the weekly Brand Buzz segment.

Russo pointed to Xerox as an example of a company who was able to overcome a sometimes technical brand and churn out quality content across their social media profiles. When that engagement happens, "the people become the medium for you, and they spread the word farther than you ever could," Russo said.

Xerox also did the smart thing in using multiple social media platforms, and curating their content to match the personality's of those platforms.
