LAFAYETTE – Lafayette’s own Carol Ross and local entrepreneur Shannon Wilkerson are slated to join KPEL with new shows on NewsTalk 96.5 KPEL beginning on Monday, February 13th. The move adds 15 hours of live, local content to the news/talk station every week. The Ross Report with Carol Ross will focus on local, regional and national issues that affect people in the Acadiana area. The show will feature notable guests and commentary, complimented by listener call-ins. The show will air weekdays starting at 2:00pm following The Rush Limbaugh Show.

Long-time KPEL news anchor, Brandon Comeaux will team up with Shannon Wilkerson for OFFSIDES with Brandon Comeaux and Shannon Wilkerson daily at 4:00pm. This quick-moving show will tackle news, politics, sports and other issues of the day.

The two new shows will fill a spot in the KPEL schedule long held by The Sean Hannity Show, which will move over to TalkRadio960 KROF-AM beginning on the same day. The show can still be heard live every day at 2pm beginning on Monday, February 13, 2016.

KPEL Brand Manager Rob Kirkpatrick said, “The changes we are putting into place this Spring really reflect the vibrant and outspoken culture that is South Louisiana. The Sean Hannity Show has been a great asset to KPEL over the years, but Carol Ross, Brandon Comeaux and Shannon Wilkerson bring so much more in terms of local content and topics. The Hannity show is a great addition to the lineup at TalkRadio960.”

The new shows join the powerhouse lineup alongside Acadiana’s Morning News with Rob Kirkpatrick and Bernadette Lee, statewide political talk show The Moon Griffon Show and Geaux Acadiana with Ken Romero and Dr. John Sutherlin.
