NEW ORLEANS (AP) — A screening and discussion of a documentary film centered on the loss of a U.S. submarine during World War II is planned Feb. 20 at the National World War II Museum.

The film, "Rediscovering the R-12 Submarine," and program will be from 6-7:30 p.m. in the museum's Solomon Victory Theater.

Filmmakers/explorers Tim Taylor and Christine Dennison will discuss their discovery of the wreck of the USS R-12 in the Atlantic.

The World War I-era submarine was on a training mission when it sank in June 1943.

Taylor and the crew of the RV Tiburon found the wreck in 2010.
