Louisiana Attorney General Challenging 2010 Census

Louisiana Attorney General Buddy Caldwell contends in a challenge to the 2010 U.S. Census that the state lost a congressional district for two reasons. Caldwell claims in a lawsuit that the number of illegal foreign nationals counted in the census and the number of those with guest-worker visas and student visas led to the elimination of one district. He’s seeking a recalculation of the 2010 apportionment based on legal residents of the state.
