The 40th annual Festivals Acadiens et Creoles will be held through Sunday of this week in Girard Park with something for everyone including those who read French.  For the second year festival goers will have the opportunity to purchase books written in French by Louisiana authors including Barry Ancelet, William Arceneaux, David Cheramie, Debbie Clifton, Kirby Jambon, Mary Waggoner and others.

The books will be sold at a kiosk in the merchandise tent on the Festival grounds. Some 19th century works will be offered, but the focus is on the literary work of 21st century authors.
