More accolades for Louisiana's business environment, as the trade journal "Business Facilities" ranks the Bayou State #2 in the country for economic growth potential. Louisiana's Economic Development Secretary Stephen Moret, says that is an all-time high rating for the
state from that publication. In addition, the magazine also ranked Louisiana 7th out of 50 states for best business climate. The article names the acquisition of Nucor's multiphase iron and steel plant, in St. James Parish, as evidence of Louisiana's economic momentum. Moret says that all means thousands of
new jobs. Moret also points to training programs enacted in cooperation with the Louisiana Workforce Commission as a big contributor to the state's jump in national business rankings.
