The Louisiana Department of Education releases its list of qualified schools that have agreed to take in voucher students for the upcoming school year. State Superintendent of Education John White says 125 schools are participating which will make 5,100 vouchers available to low income students who attend schools with a C, D or F grade.

White says for interested parents a complete list of the schools accepting vouchers as well as applications can be found  HERE. Families can also apply at the school they want to attend.

The Superintendent pointed out that of the schools that agreed to participate in the voucher program, only one was a high-performing public school. All others were either private or religious schools.
