Louisiana's infrastructure report card is out, and it's not looking good. The American Society of Civil Engineers released their findings this morning after scientists analyzed nine critical infrastructure areas in Louisiana.

The report cites some serious problems in key areas of the state's roads, bridges and drinking water. It uses our state roads as an example of how failing to properly fund programs to maintain our infrastructure is already costing us money. According to the report the condition of Louisiana's roads alone is costing the state's drivers 1.2 billion dollars a year in unnecessary expenses.

The full report will be sent to the governor and members of the Louisiana Legislature.
