Louisiana Getting 46 New State Troopers

This Thursday, May 22 the Louisiana State Police Training Academy will graduate a class of 46 new state troopers.

Sixty one cadets entered the Training Academy in January of this year and faced a rigorous schedule. In addition to physical conditioning cadets received training in crash investigation, emergency vehicle operations, DWI detection, traffic incident management and leadership. Forty six of the original 61 cadets will graduate at 10:00am at the BREC Independence Park Theater and will receive their badges at 1:30pm on the steps of the State Capitol from Governor Bobby Jindal.
