Louisiana Guard Soldiers Deployed To Afghanistan

On a day on which many across the country took part in ceremonies to remember the terrorist attacks of 9/11, 170 Louisiana Army National Guard soldiers leaving for Afghanistan. Governor Bobby Jindal and Major General Bennett Landreneau sent them off Sunday morning. The unit based in Bunkie will provide transportation and combat support to units within its assigned area.
