A new Executive Director of LAGCOE. The Louisiana Gulf Coast Oil Exposition will be led by Angela Cring.

She is originally from Alexandria. She has a degree in Environmental Geology and Political Science from Millsaps College and a Masters in Geology from the University of Mississippi. She has worked in both the public and private sector, having worked for the United States Geological Survey. Mrs. Cring is a graduate of Leadership Lafayette Class XXIV and has volunteered for the Delta Delta Delta Sorority for more than 10 years, St. Barnabas Church, Junior League of Lafayette, The Leadership Institute of Acadiana, and Millsaps College.

Lawerence Svendson, a LAGCOE Chairman and Marlin Energy Operations Director says, "Cring's experience as a geologist and years in LAGCOE management make her the ideal leader to choose."

Kirby Arceneaux, another Chairman for the organization and Chairman of Environmental Drilling Solutions says, "Under Angela's leadership, the experienced LAGCOE staff is well positioned to take the show into the future.  We are eager to deliver improvements planned for LAGCOE 2013 which will provide services to generate commerce and educate the resilient men and women of the oil and gas industry."

Sally Ware, the previous LAGCOE director has been in the position for 32 years.

The next LAGCOE starts October 22 2013.
