Louisiana Is Completely Drought Free After Two Years

The state of Louisiana is known for many things such as our culture, food, football, and many more things. Something that the residents know about Louisiana more than most is the weather.

From hurricanes, to floods, to many other challenges that we must face in this great state, we must also face droughts.

For the past two years there has always been a part of the state that was dry enough to be considered in a drought-like state.Now, the state has finally ended this streak after the U.S. Drought Monitor by the USGS shows that no part of Louisiana is in drought-like conditions.

State Climatologist Barry Keim says that March has been one of the wettest months Louisiana has seen in quite some time. Let us hope this streak continues.
