Louisiana Jobless Rates Improve Again
Jobless rates across the state continue to pace well below the national average. For the second month in a row, the state's non-seasonally adjusted jobless rate improved in August. It fell to 7.3%, down just over a half-percent compared to July. That's 1.8 % lower than the nationwide rate. Also, all of Louisiana's metro areas recorded jobless rate declines in August.
