Public Service Commissoner Foster Campbell is upset with State Officials after the federal government takes back $80 million in grant money.  The money was given to Louisiana last year. It was expected to expand the reach of broadband Internet to rural and poor areas of the state has been rescinded by the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Cambell says the Jindal administration should have done more to keep this money from falling through the cracks. U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu was disappointed, saying the "state was unable or unwilling to meet the necessary deadlines" to move the project forward." But Commissioner of Administration Paul Rainwater says there were several problems with the grants implementation and would not have
helped Louisiana.
