WILSONBURG, W.Va. (AP) — The West Virginia Fire Marshal's Office is investigating a motel fire that severely injured a Louisiana man.

The office says the victim suffered burns over 80 percent of his body. He was taken to the West Penn Burn Center in Pittsburgh. His name hasn't been released.

Media outlets report that the fire broke out around 4:30 a.m. Sunday at the Towne House West Motor Lodge off the Wilsonburg exit of U.S. 50 in Harrison County.

The cause of the fire hasn't been determined.
