Louisiana Murder Rankings

Statistics show that New Orleans and Baton Rouge among the top ten cities in the nation for murders.  The Big Easy is first in the murder-rate arena, while Baton Rouge ranks seventh.  The capital city's rate is 30 murders per 100,000 people, actually an improvement from the previous year when it was ranked second nationally.
