La. To Intervene In Lawsuit To Protect Jobs, Domestic Energy
Governor Jindal says today his administration will seek to intervene in lawsuits filed by environmental groups challenging the federal government's approval of the first offshore Exploration Plan since last year's oil spill. Jindal says the lawsuits, filed in the 11th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, have the ability to further endanger the offshore drilling industry and energy prices. Louisiana joins Alabama and Mississippi in fighting the lawsuits.
