This week on "Wingin' It Wednesday", panelist Mike Stagg, Warren Caudle, and Carol Ross joined "Nathan and Bernie in the Morning" to discuss the infidelity of Congressman Vance McAllister as well as the validity of the sport of chicken boxing.

Here's what the panel had to say:

1. A Louisiana congressman is seeking the forgiveness of his family and constituents after a video surfaced of him kissing a woman for about 30 seconds who is not his wife at his district office in Monroe.  Your thoughts?

Carol Ross started us off:

Men cheat. Some men are congress members. Some congress members cheat, but this is more than that. The big question now is, “who done it”? There are all sorts of scenarios out there. There will be an FBI probe because you can’t just do this stuff to a congressional office.
McAllister positioned himself as the ‘family values’ guy and he has totally let down his family and his constituents.

Mike Stagg added:

It turns out he’s a Vitter Republican. He’s obviously been targeted by somebody. That was Rodney Alexander’s office so that security system was there. Depending on what story you believe, one of his staffers actually gave it to the media. The FBI is going to investigate because a Congressman’s office was not secure, but it’s clear that someone is out to get him politically.

Warren Caudle Concluded:

When this thing first broke you heard the word ‘hypocrisy’ used over and over. I’m always amazed when people have selective moral outrage. The internet lit up yesterday with all the political consultants hollering about how hypocritical this is.
This country was built on men who engaged in this type of behavior. This is a mainstay of American politics.

2. Senators refused Monday to protect chicken boxing from Louisiana's ban on cockfighting, despite pleas from their colleague, Opelousas Sen. Elbert Guillory. Guillory says chicken boxing is similar to human kickboxing, with none of the knives, blood or cruelty of cockfighting. Your thoughts?

Mike stated:

I guess Senator Guillory who is I believe running for Lt. Governor is trying to sure up that all important base in Sunset, Cankton, and Carencro. I don’t think this is going to do much help Senator Guillory outside of that area.

Warren added:

Guillory brings up a good point, a lot of those breeders have bloodlines that go way back. Those things can sell for a lot of money. They can sell them overseas to places it is legal, and you’ve just destroyed their way of making a living. Is it anymore cruel than duck hunting? Lets just face the facts. If you don’t like cock fighting don’t go to it.

Carol stated:

I thought at one point that this was a joke, but no, he was serious. It’s hard to consider this a sport. The thing’s not going anywhere and I’m glad it’s not, because how does this elevate the culture? I know it’s part of the culture, but how does this elevate the culture?
