DENHAM SPRINGS, La. (AP) — Millions of people have seen the viral video of a good Samaritan rescuing Hailey Brouillette and her dog from south Louisiana floodwaters, but she isn't one of them.

A month after her harrowing brush with death, Brouillette finally got to meet the man who pulled her from a car as it sank into the murky water.

A Red Cross volunteer who befriended Brouillette at a shelter arranged her reunion Monday with 27-year-old David Phung.

Brouillette hugged and thanked Phung, calling him her "angel" and "savior."

Phung brought her a load of supplies, including dog food, knowing Brouillette lost everything in the floods.

The Aug. 13 rescue video shot by WAFB-TV has millions of YouTube views. Phung said he was amazed at how "calm and collected" he appeared on tape.
