Louisiana’s Attorney General Honors The Fallen

While many people think of today only as a day off, others who have lost family members, think of today as a time to remember their loved one's ultimate sacrifice to our country.

Louisiana's Attorney General Jeff Landry says this is a time to reflect on the sacrifices of so many for our freedom.

Landry issued the following statement,

Today, as our State celebrates Memorial Day, I urge all to remember the reason for this holiday: the brave men and women who died in service to our Country. These American heroes paid the ultimate price - giving their lives - in order to bravely defend our great Nation. Their immortal patriotism must never be forgotten. As someone who proudly wore the uniform alongside our Nation's finest. I thank the fallen and pray for their families. And as Louisiana's Attorney General, I re-commit myself to doing all that I can to assist our service members, veterans and their families.
