Louisiana's third quarter compares well to the rest of the country. The state's personal income growth grew by just four-tenths of a percent, but LSU economist Dr. Loren Scott says that's enough to beat most other states, finishing only behind Texas and Washington.  The US Bureau of Economic Analysis report lists income in Louisiana from all persons, from all sources as $176-billion from January 1st through September 30th of this year. Most of the state's increase in personal income was in the health and social service sectors.
