Louisiana's population has increased over the past year and a half. New US Census Bureau stats list the Bayou State at number 15 in the country for population growth since April of 2010. New Orleans area demographer Greg Rigamer says 41,000 more people live in the state, as of July 1st this year. He says the report is proof that Louisiana has reversed a years-long trend of out-migration.
