LPD Searching For Nightclub Shooting Suspect

Lafayette police are investigating a shooting incident that happened early Saturday morning on McKinley Street.

According to our news partner KATC, the incident took place around 1 a.m.at the KEG nightclub. Upon arriving at the scene, officers were notified that a 20-year-old male was shot in the left leg. The victim had already been moved to a residence in the 400 block of East University Avenue.

The victim's identity has not yet been released. The suspect is described as a black male, 6-foot-tall and weighing approximately 300 pounds.
