The Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office is trying to locate an expensive piece of jewelry that was stolen from a home on Gloria Switch Road last month.

Sheriff's spokesman John Mowell said on Dec. 12 deputies began investigating the burglary and learned a ring valued at more than $16,100 was stolen.

Mowell described the ring as “a ladies 14-karat gold custom designed and
crafted right ring finger channel set with bead prong diamonds and bright cut accents."
