LPSO To Host Drug And Substance Abuse Public Forum

You are invited to the latest in a continuing series of presentations put on by the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office. These presentations deal with the problems impacting our community and our local criminal justice system.

A U.S. Attorney and a local mental health expert will be the guest speakers who will address how people dealing with drug and substance abuse are handled by both the local and federal criminal justice systems and the ways different drugs and substances affect the brain.

You will also be able to listen to a former addict share his/her personal story and who is now a practicing substance abuse counselor.
