During an interview with Lafayette Parish School Board President Britt Latiolais a question was asked about the reopening of schools. Mary, a mother from Youngsville, asked if registration would re-open for the Lafayette Online Academy since the first day of school was pushed back until after Labor Day. Latiolais didn't know that answer, but the district now says it will not.

Lafayette Online Academy is the virtual option for Lafayette Parish students. It has been available for numerous years, but it has become even more important in the pandemic recovery. Registration closed earlier this week.
