A two-vehicle crash in St. Landry Parish claimed the life of an Opelousas woman and left three others injured Wednesday morning.

According to Master Trooper Brooks David, 30-year-old Jeri Ceasar was killed when her vehicle collided with a truck driven by Kim Brown of Metairie after she crossed the center line while traveling north on La. Highway 749.

Ceasar, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from her Toyota Camry. She was pronounced dead at the scene by the St. Landry Parish Coroner's Office.

A child riding in the back seat of Ceasar's car, who was also unrestrained, received moderate injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

Brown, and his passenger, sustained minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
