It's not unusual to see LSU listed at the top of the standings in the Southeastern Conference. However, it's usually football where the Tigers make their biggest statement. This time it's LSU Basketball that is getting the attention as the Tigers are currently in the top spot in that leagues basketball standings.

The Tigers downed Mississippi State over the weekend to bring their conference record to 8 wins and just two losses. That puts them one game ahead of South Carolina, Texas A&M, and Kentucky.

The Tigers won't be able to rest on their laurels after downing Ms State 88-77 Saturday. They will jump right back into the conference fire with games against South Carolina on the road Wednesday. Then LSU will host Texas A&M on Saturday.

Currently LSU has an overall record of 15 wins and 8 losses and is currently not ranked in any of the national basketball polls.
