The LSU Tiger men's basketball team recorded an SEC home win on Saturday, defeating the Mississippi St. Bulldogs, 80-68, at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge.

For LSU, it was their fifth win in the last six games, and their sixth in their last eight outings.

The Tigers led at the half, 41-28, and then went on to the 12-point victory.

LSU out-shot Mississippi St. from the field, 55%-46%, and also finished with a 36-20 rebound advantage.

Charles Carmouche led the Tigers' scoring attack, scoring 21 points, while Craig Sword paced the Bulldogs in a losing cause with a game-high 25 points.

With the win, LSU improved to 15-8 overall, and 6-6 in SEc play, while Mississippi St. fell to 7-17 overall, and 2-10 in league play.
