The LSU Tiger men's basketball team fell on the road on Wednesday evening, dropping a 68-63 decision to the Auburn Tigers, in Auburn, Alabama, in the SEC opener for both teams.

LSU led at the half, 28-27, but Auburn out-scored LSU, 41-35, in the second half, and walked away with the five-point win.

Auburn out-shot LSU from the field, 46%-37%, and also forced 12 turnovers.

Allen Payne led Auburn, scoring 15 points, while Charles Carmouche paced LSU in a losing cause with 15 points, with Andre Stringer and Anthony Hickey adding 13 points, each.

With the victory, Auburn improved to 7-7 overall, and 1-0 in SEC play, while LSU fell to 9-3 overall, and 0-1 in league play.
