LSU Defeats Texas A&M, 58-54
The LSU Tiger men's basketball team picked up their first conference win of the year, defeating the Texas A&M Aggies, 58-54, in SEC action on Wednesday night, at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Texas A&M led at the half, 28-27, before LSU outscored the Aggies, 31-26, in the second half to record the four-point win.
The Aggies were able to out-shoot the Tigers from the field, 46%-38%, and were also able to finish with a 34-29 rebound advantage, but LSU forced 24 Texas A&M turnovers, while turning the basketball over only 11 times themselves.
Shavon Coleman led LSU in scoring, with 17 points, while Fabyon Harris paced Texas A&M in a losing cause, with a game-high 19 points.
With the victory, the Tigers improved to 10-6 overall, and 1-4 in SEC play, while the Aggies fell to 12-6 overall, and 2-3 in league play.
LSU returns to action on Saturday, when they travel to Lexington, Kentucky, to take on the Kentucky Wildcats.
