LSU Downs Vanderbilt, 81-58

The LSU Tigers were victorious in SEC action on Saturday night, defeating the Vanderbilt Commodores, 81-58, at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
The game was tied, 11-11, at the 12:00 mark of the opening half, when LSU took control, outscoring Vanderbilt 24-14 the rest of the half, to take a 35-25 lead into the locker room at half time.
The Tigers continued to lead by ten points, 52-42, at the 10:29 mark of the game, when then put things away, outscoring the Commodores, 19-7, over the next 5:20, to go up by a commanding 22 points, and led, 71-49, with 5:09 remaining.
From there, LSU coasted to the 23-point win, their second league win, and first conference home victory of the season.
LSU out-shot Vanderbilt from the field, 48%-35%, and also finished with a 48-25 rebound advantage.
The Tigers were led by Johnny O'Bryant, who finished with a game-high 22 points, along with a game-high 12 rebounds.
In a losing cause for the Commodores, Rod Odom finished with 20 points and six rebounds.
With the victory, LSU improved to 11-5, overall, and 1-2 in SEC play, while Vanderbilt slipped to 9-7, overall, and 2-2 in league play.
