The LSU Tigers return to action on Saturday afternoon, when coach Johnny Jones’ squad plays host to the top-ranked Oklahoma Sooners in a non-conference match-up.

Tipoff time at the Maravich Center is set for 4 o’clock in a contest that is part of the SEC/Big XII Challenge.

LSU, who defeated Georgia, 89-85, on Tuesday night, is 13-7, overall, and 6-2 in SEC play, while Oklahoma, who beat Texas Tech, 91-67, on Tuesday, is currently 17-2, and 5-2 in Big XII play.

The Tigers are outscoring the opposition, 81.3/75.6, and outshooting them from the floor, 47%/44%, while holding down a 39.4/37.5 rebound advantage.

LSU is led by freshman forward Ben Simmons, who is averaging 19.8 points, to go along with 12.7 rebounds-per-game, and senior guard Keith Hornsby, who is averaging 13.2, and 2.5, respectively.

Oklahoma is outscoring opponents, 85.8/71.4, and outshooting the opposition, 48%/39%, while holding down a 41.5/37.5 rebounding advantage.

The Sooners are paced by senior guard Buddy Hield, who is averaging 25.9 points, to go along with 5.8 rebounds a contest.
