A decision has finally been made for the postponed LSU-Florida football game!

The LSU-Florida football game has been rescheduled for November 19th at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge.

The game was supposed to be played in Florida last weekend (10/8), but was postponed due to Hurricane Matthew.

Also, so as to prevent this situation from happening again, the Presidents and Chancellors have pushed for the existing Conference policy to be revised if a contest is ever postponed or interrupted. The Commissioner should have the responsibility to decide the date and location of future games if the two institutes cannot mutually come to a conclusion on those issues.

"It was important for us to come to a resolution. Each university had its own set of concerns throughout this process, however existing SEC regulations did not provide an avenue to resolve conflicting issues in a more timely manner," SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey said. "As I have repeatedly said, this game needed to be played. In the end, I want to give credit to the University of Florida for making concessions to move this year's game to Baton Rouge."

LSU has also agreed to play the 2017 match, which was originally scheduled to be played at LSU, in Gainesville. They will return to Gainesville in 2018 as the regular rotation continues.
