The LSU Tigers begin their 2015 regular season schedule on Saturday evening, when coach Les Miles’ squad travels to Starkville, Mississippi to take on the Mississippi St. Bulldogs in a key SEC match-up.

The game marks the first of the year for the Tigers, who had their scheduled season-opener against the McNeese St. Cowboys cancelled due to weather last week.

LSU finished 8-5, overall, last year, including a 4-4 SEC mark.

Offensively, LSU averaged 27.6 points, 387.5 total yards, 224.5 rushing yards, and 169.3 passing yards per game last season, while allowing 17.5 points, 316.8 total yards, 152.7 rushing yards, and 164.2 passing yards a contest, defensively.

Mississippi St. won their season-opener last week, defeating the Southern Miss Golden Eagles, 34-16, in non-conference play.

The Bulldogs tallied 442 yards of total offense, including 237 passing yards and 205 rushing yards, while allowing 413 total yards, including 311 passing yards and 102 rushing yards.
