The nationwide manhunt for a Florida man accused of shooting and killing his wife and his daughter's boyfriend has come to an end in Acadiana.

55-year-old Kevin Kent Satterfield was arrested at an Opelousas motel shortly before midnight Tuesday night, according to Officer Darren Zachary with the Opelousas Police Department.

Satterfield was tracked to the Opelousas area by the U.S. Marshall, Zachary says.

A joint operation by the U.S. Marshalls, FBI, Louisiana State Police, St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office, Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office, Lafayette Police Department, and the Lafayette City Marshall led to his arrest, according to Zachary.

Police say Satterfield is facing two counts of first degree murder following the double murder. He also shot his daughter, who is eight months pregnant. His daughter and her baby have reportedly survived.

Satterfield is currently being held in the St. Landry Parish Jail.
