Man Accused Of Abducting Kids Has Louisiana Ties
ROUND ROCK, Texas - The man accused of abducting two girls out of Texas was previously arrested for murder in Calcasieu Parish, authorities say.
Terry Allen Miles, 44, has a long criminal history and faced jail time for second-degree murder in Sulphur in 2011, KPLC reports.
Miles now could face more charges after police in Round Rock, Texas say he took off with 14-year-old Lilianais Victoria Cake Griffith and 7-year-old Luluvioletta Mariposa Bandera-Magret after the girls' mother was found dead in a home while police conducted a welfare check on Sunday.
Police identify the girls' mother as 44-year-old Tonya Bates.
Police say Miles was living with Bates at the time of her death and believe he may be connected to her death. Police do not know of a motive at this time.
Shortly after 7:30 p.m. this evening, Round Rock Police Chief Allen Banks held a press conference, alerting the public that Miles is a person of interest at this time and their main priority is to bring the girls home.
Lilianiais is described by police as a white female, 5'0", 100lbs with light brown hair and brown eyes with a stud in her right nose. She also has braces.
Luluvioletta is described as a white female, 4'5", 75lbs with brown hair and brown eyes.
Miles is described as a white male, 6'2", 200lbs with brown hair and hazel eyes. He wears glasses and a beard.
Authorities believe Miles is driving a gray 2017 Hyundai Accent with a Texas license plate: JGH9845. Police say their last possible sighting was northern New Mexico, southern Colorado. Early this morning, police suspected they may be headed for Louisiana.
The girls are believed to be in grave or immediate danger. An Amber alert was issued on Sunday for the two Texas girls.
