Man Accused Of Raping Elderly DeQuincy Woman Indicted

The man accused of brutally raping an elderly woman has been indicted by a Calcasieu Parish grand jury.

DeQuincy police detective Tom Threet says Gabe McKeel Jr. allegedly raped the 94-year-old woman in her home. Threet says McKeel struck her in the face and then tried to steal a valuable item from the home.

McKeel remains in jail on $1.6 million bond.
