41-year-old James Andrus Jr. of Opelousas has allegedly admitted "he lost control" with a teenager, and now faces cruelty to juvenile charges.

According to our news partners at KATC, Opelousas Police Chief Perry Gallow says James Andrus Jr. allegedly handcuffed the victim behind the back and repeatedly whipped the teen with a belt.

Meanwhile, staying in Opelousas, 42-year-old David Durham has been arrested after Opelousas Police say they found crystal meth, marijuana, steroids and Xanax inside his home at 1928 Alonzo Street. According to our news partners at KATC, Durham has been charged with possession of schedule I, possesion with intent to distribute schedule II, possession with intent to distribute schedule III, and possession with intent to Distribute Schedule IV.
