Man Arrested After Gun Goes Off During Argument

A man is behind bars after an argument leads to gunfire. Corporal Paul Mouton with Lafayette Police say it happened yesterday around 6 PM on the 400 block of Edison Street. The female victim told officers that she and Joseph Boudreaux of Lafayette began arguing, when all of a sudden, he took out a handgun. She says they began fighting over the gun when it went off once. Boudreaux ran away, but was later stopped and arrested by police. The case remains under investigation.
