MONROE, La. (AP) — No one was injured after a man fired shots Friday night at a car with a toddler inside.

Twenty-one-year-old Michael Williams of Monroe is charged with two counts of attempted second degree murder, and one count of illegally carrying a weapon.

Williams confronted a woman about money at a McDonald's. The woman got into her car, along with her 2-year-old daughter, trying to leave.

That's when Williams drew a handgun and began shooting at the vehicle. Monroe Police say between five and eight shots were fired. According to police, after shooting at the car, Williams went inside the restaurant, bragged about shooting at the woman, showed his gun, and left. He was arrested blocks away on his bicycle.
