Wednesday, April 25, 2012: Charles Justin Beasley of Gramercy was arrested Tuesday and faces the same charges that Chauvin faces - criminal damage to property and theft of crawfish.

Wednesday, April 18, 2012: A Lutcher man is in hot water, having been accused of stealing 166 pounds of crawfish from Miko's Seafood in Lutcher.

St. James Parish Sheriff's authorities say when deputies were called out to the store Friday morning, they found that someone had cut the pad lock that was on an outside walk-in cooler and had stolen the the crawfish from inside. After getting a tip, detectives arrested Jared Chauvin of Lutcher. He's been charged with stealing the crawfish and damaging the property. Chauvin's bond has been set at $6,000.

Police say the crawfish have not been recovered.
