37-year-old Rickey J. Olivier is behind bars after a drug bust in Lafayette Parish Tuesday morning.

Lafayette Parish Sheriff PIO John Mowell says the Lafayette Metro Narcotics Task Force, comprised of members of the Lafayette Police Department and Lafayette Sheriff’s Office, along with assistance from Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team and members of the Drug Enforcement Agency executed a search warrant on the 100 block of Kris Drive in Lafayette. That's where agents say they found Marijuana, Crack Cocaine, Trenabolone, Tramadol, Cheratussin, Suboxone, a handgun and 9 mm assault rifle along with other drug paraphernalia.

Also found in the raid was heroin containing Fentanyl, which Mowell says is the type of heroin suspected to be a contributing factor in seven heroin-related deaths in Lafayette Parish.

The approximate value of the weapons, drugs and drug paraphernalia seized during this search is $12,461.
