Man Charged With Terrorizing Iota Middle School

Authorities in Acadia Parish are still trying to figure out why a man went to Iota Middle School yesterday, wearing a Halloween mask and carrying a number of knives. Sheriff Wayne Melancon says Garrett West walked into the school and was quickly confronted by Principal Debra Siebert. Melancon says Siebert talked West into surrendering his knives and taking off his mask. She recognized West as being a former student there. He was arrested for terrorism and carrying a dangerous weapon on school property. Melancon says it's still unknown what West's intentions were.
