Man Convicted For Incest Attempts Suicide In Courtroom
A St. Martinville man found guilty today of five counts of aggravated incest tried to commit suicide in a St. Martin Parish courtroom.
KATC reports 57-year-old Robbie Frith used a razor blade to slit his throat and wrists after hearing his sentence, which carries a minimum sentence of 25 years for each of the five counts. The jury had already been excused when the incident happened.
The St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office says the attempted suicide happened around 1 p.m. today.
