Man Convicted In 2011 Drive-by Shooting In Carlyss
LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) — A 23-year-old man accused in a 2011 drive-by shooting in Carlyss has been convicted of second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder.
The American Press reports a jury took an hour Wednesday to find David Caleb Fontenot guilty in the death of 20-year-old Stephin Wayne Bergeron.
Fontenot, who took the stand in his own defense, also shot at another man, Chance Bourgeois, who was with Bergeron.
Sentencing is set for April 23.
