BREAKING: Victim Identified in St. Landry Parish Shooting

The St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating in the Washington area after detectives were called out to Della Drive about a shooting. A Lafayette man is dead.

Deputies found a man dead at the home after the woman called 911 saying she was hiding in a closet because an unknown man was in her home firing shots.

When deputies and detectives arrived on the scene, they did not find any suspects.

Rodney Joseph Savoy Junior, 34, is the man who was found dead at that home.
