A St. Mary Parish Sheriff's deputy saw a car traveling slowly on Highway 90 in the Patterson and Calumet area, and the driver kept crossing the center line along with the fog line multiple times.

The deputy stopped 55-year-old Anthony Wise ofHouma, and the officer smelled burning synthetic drugs.

The law enforcement officer says he then found 5 hand rolled cigarettes with synthetic marijuana in them when he searched the car along with packets of the drug.

Wise was arrested for the following:

  • Possession of Schedule I (synthetic marijuana)
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Driving left of center

Wise later bonded out of the St. Mary Parish Jail.
