Scott Police went out to the 100 block of Des Jacques Road after complaints about arguing and someone getting hit by a vehicle.

Police say they could not found the victim at first, but came across a man who fit the description of the person involved in the fight. The man, Justin Snook, took off running.

Police say once they gathered together Snook along with Terrance Plaunty and Michael Veronie, the details started to fall into place.

Police say the three men were involved in an argument with the driver of a car. The female passenger in that car was Veronie's wife.

Police say Snook, Plaunty and Veronie all started damaging the vehicle while the driver tried to get away.  When trying to flee, the victim told police that Plaunty then threw himself onto car.

Detectives say Snook pulled a .40 caliber gun out of the waistband of his pants and shot at the car's engine.

The victim was finally able to leave and call police a short time later from a store.

Snook has been charged with the following:

  • Flight from an officer
  • Aggravated assault
  • Aggravated criminal damage to property
  • Felon in possession of a firearm
  • Disturbing the peace
  • Traffic warrants from the Rayne Police Department

Plaunty has been charged with:

  • Disturbing the peace
  • Simple criminal damage to property

Veronie was charged with the same charges as Plaunty.

Plaunty was checked out by a local paramedic team, but refused further treatment.
